Today we left our bags with our hotel in Aoyoma-Itchome to meet with MSU alumni in Ginza.  DSCF0113

We were joined by a few other MSU study abroad Japan groups and we had a some drinks and mingled with the alum.  I met a few packaging majors and a few business majors.  We talked about the economy, Japanese vs. American culture, Nenga-Jo traditions and business.  Before long lunch was served and we were enjoying barbeque and french fries along side some delicious Japanese cuisine.

After lunch, we grabbed our bags from the hotel, hopped on a Shinkansen and rode all the way to Osaka were we would be spending the next week.  Osaka is known for its younger nightlife, beautiful women and acceptance of Western influence.

We went out on the town that night, looking for a cheap place to sit down and eat dinner.  Seeing a sign that said “Everything 330 Yen!” I steered the group into a nightclub.  What happened next is a story for the next post…

  1. Moving from Tokyo to Osaka that day was utter hell. Especially because I had no time to change from business casual to casual for I had, erm, business to attend to in the restroom. So hauling our luggage down multiple cases of stairs and eventually making it to the Shinkansen drenched with sweat was more than fun. But ah, jumping on top of the bed to a pillow filled with rice was the perfect end to a perfect day.
